A) This Socratic-thinker, for many moons, honestly, has pondered and asked others "what" the "meat" used in the Taco Bell consumer food items...is? I, therefore, ceased purchasing and partakig of any of their foods that contained "beef"...for years, on my own!
B) Now...the Beasley Allen Law Firm has filed a consumer rights class action (for all consumers affected) lawsuit against Taco Bell Corporation. This lawsuit challenges Taco Bell's practice of representing, to consumers, that its restaurants serve "seasoned" ground beef" or "seasoned beef" FILING in its products. The fact, they contend, is that a substantial amount of that filler contains substances OTHER than beef!
C) This lawsuit, originating with one consumer, seeks to require Taco Bell to honestly advertise and label all food items...to engage in correcting all advertisements about Taco Bell ingredients in order to educate the public, taht's US, about the TRUTH of the true contents of all of its food products.
D) HELLO! And, by the way, the Taco Bell "meat" and "fillers" were analyized by certified labs. The lab identified "fillers...extenders...and other weird stuff" in the their item listed as "beef." It was NOT ground beef as defined by our USDA. There was, though, "some ground beef" in it...30%? USDA requires "beef" to be 40% of total weight. That means, then..."what is the other 70%?
I need to ponder on this revelation a bit! When American consumers use and eat "beef", our USDA declares that only 40% of it actually has to be REAL BEEF? Hmmmm....
E) Does anyone else understand all of these valid facts about the "beef" in a Taco Bell food product? I do.... Help me, please. Does anyone remember an advertisement from a different national food chain, much earlier, that kept asking, "where's the beef?"
F) Does anyone care, anymore, in our America, about old-fashioned QUALITY and "truth in advertisement?" Who is telling us the TRUTH in advertising? I don't know, anymore?
G) This IS my story and "I'm stickin' to it!"
