A) Right off the mark, I am NOT making fun of any groups in our American society who, collectively, use the term "LIKE" repeadedly when communicating verbally with friends or associates!
B) As a sociology person, am describing a phenomenon between individuals communicating with each other. An example would be, now, when young people, moving on into the mainstream, meet and greet each other with a "slight fist" touching the other person's. I DO IT! It simple is a "new" form of greeting, instead of the ages old handshake!
C) HISTORY of HANDSHAKES? Originally, a "handshake" to "handshake", clasp, meant that someone would not be able to "hurt" you during that clasp.....
