A) ...and how my retelling of this story is an inspiration for ANY and EVERY parent/s in America observing a first child WANTING and LEARNING, from within, to WALK!
B) For safety, widdle Sarah could roam about her enclosed playpen in the library...TV nearby. One day, though, i sensed a tiny bit of independence beginning to develop. So, i lowered one side while she dozed. When she awoke, Sarah noticed immediately. She was pondering.... That told me that she was ready to cautiously move UP to her next step in learning to...WALK!
C) I, from a distance, watched her, holding on, walk around inside the playpen and...then step out on the wooden floor. She slowly, still holding on to the playpen sides, outside, walked all the way around it, gaining courage!
D) Then...she tackled the next step by plopping down on the floor and crawling over to the library wall and mid-door. Sarah raised up, holding on to the wall, and walked into the dining room. I watched, each time, as she looked around and pondered her next move, cautiously!
E) And then the next segment of her plan happened! She scooted across the rug in the dining room and...stood up, without a support. i could see and sense that she was building up enough courage to venture further. Yes, this daddy was there, from a distance, ready to rescue her if needed.
F) .......and...she carefully balanced herself, for the first time without supports, and TOOK A STEP...then another one...on her own! And plopped back down on her butt-butt on the rug. BUT, she got back up and tried another step...and another step....
G) So....what does this all prove to you and your children? Be sooo cognizant in paying understanding and knowing that EVERY baby, child, has distinct characteristics and qualities. Allow that child to advance on and with their own timetable. 'K?
H) All of this has been my story, and I'ma sticking to every darn word!
