171- THIS AMERICAN HISTORY RESEARCHER HAS PERSONALLY CONFIRMED That Our GEORGE WASHINGTON......

A) ...was honestly THE #1 "GOOD GUY" in our Amer-i-can history!
B)  He realized, back in 1781, that he had to set the tone for centuries to come...he was adamant about that responsibility!
C) "They" were nudging GW to be called a "king", but he did not want any continuation with the English style of government.  Washington came up with the term "President" and that, according to history, is how we began that tradition.

D) But, let's go back a bit to before "WE" defeated the British at Yorktown in the late 1700s, when Washington was the General-in -harge of all Continental Army's ragtag soldiers.
E) December 25, 1776...Delaware River...icy...snowy and fridgidly COLD!  The Colonists had wrapped rags around their bare feet and hands.
F) And that's when Gen. Washington and his men crept across the river and surprised the Hessians at Trenton.  The British didn't think Washington would ever dream of such a bold attack!  And the Colonists whupped the unexpecting "enemy"....  For the record, Washington did manage to slip across the Delaware two more times that winter!
