a) The wiff or three of freshly ground Eight O'Clock beans at the market! And, every morning that this author rises early to creatively write, I open the sealed bag of roasted coffee and inhale another wiff or three in memory of my grandparent's fave coffee!!
b) Receiving another e-mail from the BOOG!
c) Opening the local newspaper and discovering my 77th essay on the editorial page!
d) Someone seeing me out and about, or e-mailing that they appreciate one of those 77 essays or dozens of national magazine articles!
e) Editing another page of the last draft of the The Serpentine Bond! novel, gives moi yet another inner personal high!
f) Hearing someone say, "Thank you" and then smiling back. Turns me on, know what I mean?
g) Thinking of and jotting down yet another neat idea or thought to use in time. Am always listening and jotting down thoughts on one of those little YELLOW "legal pads"....
h) Stopping at a Walgreen's in town and having an attractive, savvy coed clerk pause a respectful few minutes to chat with moi and then follow, with her eyes, me out the door. I admit to appreciating a bit of the good kind of flirting! No one, both, loses...both win!! (Yes, this guy did formulate, over time, a special class taught around the State and locally entitled: "THE FINE ART of FLIRTING...OR HOW TO MEET PEOPLE Without LOSING YOURSELF!!" And it was, really, packed each and every class.....)
i) Arising early to edit my first novel, THE SERPENTINE BOND!, and turning on MTV for the Top 20 New Country tunes for background inspirtion music. Still appreciate the lyrics, videos and original style of music created by Taylor Swift.... Taylor had, has a special "DREAM" and consistently sticks with her plan, all the way through a shoot or onstage performance! Oh, did I mention that, still, in person, she is simply a nice, respectful kinda person? BUT...no one takes advantage of her easy going personality...Taylor IS STRONG from within, and she is in her very early 20's.
