201- DOES THIS EDUCATED EDUCATOR B-E-L-I-E-V-E In GHOSTS And The SUPERNATURAL?......

A) I don't but have always wanted to...believe!
B) Have explored many old Colonial plantation homes on both sides of James & York rivers, hearing tales
of hauntings about all of 'em....but never saw or felt anything personally to support those hauntings.
C) ROSEWELL Mansion RUINS on the York River:  my neat explorations, while studying summers
at W&M, included up close & personal walks & chatting with employees.  During that time,
ruins were surrounded by a "jungle" of vegetation.  Today, the grounds have been cleaned up
         considerably for public exploration.
D) A series of interesting paperbacks, for years, have focused on Williamsburg's ghosts.  One, at the old
Jamestown church kirkyard, has two gravestones that have appeared to "come together" after
parents of the wife tried to keep the husband apart, even after death.
E) A common ghost tale surrounds painted portraits in Williamsburg and surrounding Colonial areas:  the
eyes seem to follow anyone standing anywhere in a room.  I notice that phenomenon in many old
mansions and buildings there in the historic town and out amongst the plantations....AND IT'S TRUE!
Eyes DID follow me....but nothing ghostly happened!
F) And those "ghost hunter programs" on TV?  They use the "power of suggestion" with those
involved, meaning things like, "Did you hear that?"  And they play back audio recordings,
printing out on your screen what they want you to think you heard!
Why? $$$$$$$$$$$$$....  All of this makes a mockery of trying to actually be scientific in proving
their point, being that ghosts DO exist...sorry, guys.  Wish this Yogi Bare had the time to
do some REAL research...WOULD be thorough and a centrist, right down the middle until
the GHOST issue was proven or not proven!!!
